Win Your Case with Unique and Highly Credible Senior Executives for Expert Testimony

"We were working on a challenging case in which we were representing an executive who was suing his prior employer, a New Jersey subsidiary of a European company, for age discrimination. The expert testimony for our litigation required a very-specialized executive - a senior executive in the tableware industry. Nitron introduced us to two valuable experts.First, the former CEO of a tableware company, who brought great credibility and gravitas to court testimony. And second, a New Jersey lawyer with vast experience in issues of piercing the corporate veil. There is no question in my mind that our client's case is much stronger because of Nitron's expert resources."

- Jack Delany and Andrew Campbell, Delany & O'Brien

  • Hard-to-locate industry & situational expertise
  • Avoid the excessive costs of professional expert witnesses
  • Thorough pre-screening based on your detailed specification

Nitron is a new breed of expert witness provider. We specialize in introducing you to industry executives who are:

  • senior enough to carry exceptional credibility in court;
  • specialized enough to have deep, first-hand knowledge of your client's situation; and
  • flexible enough to allow them to consult for an hour or many days.

These executive experts are an exceptional fit in the growing domains of shareholder responsibility and fraud law, as well as for damages valuation, corporate separateness, patent infringement, anti-trust, social/environmental responsibility, and product liability cases.

In contrast, other expert witness sources may be useful for accessing doctors, scientists, frequently-employed accountants or economists, and business people with mid-level experience in common fields – but not the most senior business executives. Our clients have found that these experts are highly effective and cost-efficient for expert testimony in corporate litigation.

Many of our experts are recent corporate alumni – fresh out of senior positions in the most influential companies in nearly any industry. Other experts include business-to-business customers and suppliers to major corporations; general managers of international business units; and regulatory observers.

Our team uses our existing expert network and a technology-driven search processes to connect you quickly to the ideal experts for your query, whether they are directly subscribed to Nitron’s Circle of Experts network or part of our extended network of executive organizations – hundreds of thousands of experts in all.

We identify the people that are most relevant for your requests, pre-screen them via electronic means and verbal interviews according to requirements you provide, and take care of negotiating with and paying these experts.

Case Studies Demonstrate the Nitron Difference

Recent examples of our work demonstrate why law firms and investment houses have proactively contacted Nitron to fill their more challenging requests for business experts. That’s because our staff, business partnerships, and custom technology are all focused on finding and maintaining relationships with senior-level executives, corporate alumni and other key business influencers.

  • Performance-based compensation in the cosmetics industry: A law firm needed a chief executive to testify about performance-based compensation levels for CEOs in the cosmetics industry and how a board of directors and CEO interact when setting compensation. Because of the close inter-relationships among executives at cosmetics companies in the New York area, no executive that the law firm could find was willing to critique practices at a competitor. This law firm heard of Nitron “through the grapevine” and called us seeking quick results. Within 3 days, Nitron introduced the client to a senior executive with experience at a leading firm based on the U.S. west coast, who had recently completed leading the launch of a new cosmetics line.

  • Utilities Regulatory Compliance: A client needed a Nitron expert to interpret regulations, enforcement policies, and penalties under the Public Utility Regulatory Policies Act of 1978 (PURPA). These questions affected whether an electric utility in which they had invested would be subject to penalties or price reductions based on the applicability of PURPA. The expert argued, correctly, that the state of energy industry deregulation and alternative energy sources and competition made PURPA’s price controls irrelevant to the utility.

  • Employee discrimination in the tableware industry: Another law firm was representing a senior executive who had been terminated from a tableware company. He was suing his former employer, alleging age discrimination, whereas his former employer claimed economic conditions provoked the termination. The executive was familiar with Nitron through a professional association and referred his lawyer to us. Within 2 days, we provided one expert who had previously worked at the tableware company and became a fact witness, then introduced a second expert, a recently-retired CEO of a competitive tableware vendor, who carried considerable credibility in court when he testified about economic conditions in the industry. This executive was ideal for our client due to his flexible schedule, first being used for an extensive phone consultation, then flown-in for court preparation and a second time for the actual testimony.

  • Other executives we have provided in a recent month have been experts in: telecommunications firm mergers, offshore banking operations, environmental regulations’ impact on chemical refiners, stock options valuation, mining processes and safety, and the marketing of medical devices.
